Hard to believe another summer is coming to a close! So many highlights…
Discovering Cymande at Bonnaroo… singing with mom + Brian Wilson at Pitchfork… rocking to Radiohead at Lollapalooza… dancing like a maniac to LCD (everywhere we saw them)… cheering like a maniac at every Cubs game… and especially rewarding:
GREEN MUSIC FEST ACHIEVED 89% WASTE DIVERSION, thanks to a stellar team of Eco Educators, plus cooperative vendors, cleaning crew and recycling partners who carried our efforts forward. All the while, a multi-dimensional crowd of music fans, tree huggers, dog lovers, families and beer connoisseurs spent long hours drifting down Damen Avenue, and were rewarded with Nasty Snacks, Jennifer Hall, King Khan, the Hooten Hallers, Black Joe Lewis, and many other talented acts. Doing good never sounded so great!
TOUR DE FAT brought us another day of goofiness pure joy, with our friends from New Belgium Brewery. Everyone and their mother, child and dog (seriously!) who were in attendance let loose on a beautiful July afternoon and enjoyed the musical stylings of Mucca Pazza and Dr. Dog – their imitable lyrics were rolling, and the specialty brews were flowing.
